Standard build & ship times
In-stock items ship in 3–5 business days from Norman, Oklahoma. You'll receive a tracking email when your order leaves the shop.
Custom builds — Tall Man lower rods, unusual colors, counterweight-ready configurations, 3-piece shafts — are made to order and ship in 4–8 weeks, depending on queue depth at the time you order. Custom lengths take longer because each rod is cut, fit, and torqued for your specific spec.
Shipping rates
- Free US shipping on orders of $149 or more
- US orders under $149 — flat rate of $12
- International — calculated at checkout based on weight and destination
International orders
We ship worldwide, but international shipping on a 46.5" scoop handle or full shaft gets expensive fast. You'll also be responsible for any VAT, GST, or import duties imposed by your country — they aren't included in our shipping rate. If budget matters, email us first so we can get you an exact quote.
Tracking
Every shipment gets a tracking number from USPS, UPS, or FedEx depending on destination. You'll receive an email with the number as soon as the label prints. If you haven't received tracking within 5 business days of ordering a standard item, email steve@stevesdetectorrods.com — something's probably gone sideways on our end.
Lost or damaged shipments
If your package arrives damaged, photograph the damage before unpacking, then email Steve. We'll work with the carrier to file a claim and get you a replacement. If a package is lost in transit, we'll replace it after 15 business days (US) or 30 business days (international).
